Welcome to OAK! We're thrilled you want to advertise your trips on our platform. Making trip promotion easy for guides is a key part of our mission.
While OAK currently focuses on peer-to-peer (unguided) trips, we've successfully hosted many guided trips and are continuously improving this feature.
To distinguish paid guided trips from free peer trips, we use clear indicators: a € symbol next to activity dates and a purple verification checkmark on certified guide profiles. Here's how it looks:

How do I create an appealing guide profile?
Create an engaging bio that highlights your relevant experience and upload high-quality professional photos.
Include details about your specializations and the type of work you most enjoy doing.
Create your activity on the app using the standard create feature. You must clearly list the price or the pricing structure of the activity in the description text and the minimum number of participants for the course to run if applicable.
As a certified guide you have an additional field available to you when creating a tour. At the bottom of the create activity page you will find a slider “Paid activity”. Selecting this will add the paid logo to the tour. This means you can also create your own peer to peer activities or free “events” on the app if you want to use this to market your business (for example free avalanche awareness talks). Please note once this is checked then you won’t be able to edit it.
When you create your activity, a group chat (similar to WhatsApp) is automatically created. You can use this chat to share detailed information about payments and plans.
